Concepts are the seeds of a design idea that will grow, with the help of creative and innovative input, into a successful manufacturable product. Concept design can be applied to new as well existing products where manufacturing or user problems can be analysed, and new solutions explored to turn a good product into an exceptional one
Detail Design is the important process of turning ideas and concepts into actual components. The choice of materials and manufacturing processes, designing for automation and correct choice of assembly methods and technologies as well as getting the detail just right are what makes for a good production design

The Graticule or Measuring Dish for the Corpus Clock was designed and created by Visitech using SolidWorks and CNC machined in aluminium and silver before gold and rhodium plating. The Corpus Clock is the invention of Dr John Taylor and was created with the help of a number of engineers and artists including Alan Meeks. It was unveiled at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge on 19th September 2008 by Prof. Stephen Hawking 		Corpus Clock - Graticule or Measuring Dish.
